Every spring interior lakes of British Columbia blossom with incredible bug hatches, as the outside temperature rises so does the water temps and with that come a magical phenom of chironomid pupae wiggling their way up through the water column from the bottom to the surface to finish their life cycle. Its at this time of year when the trout feed heavily on the little treats which make for some epic still-water angling on the local lakes! this drawing was inspired by just that!
