"King of the Reef" (12x36) was inspired by the amazing natural ecosystems these fish call home such as reefs, steep rocky ledges, and underwater pinnacles common to BC’s Pacific coastline.
Although lings are abundant in areas along the coast, significant recreational catch limits have been put in place due to previous overfishing and still remain.
Hopefully this painting will open up a few eyes into how important, unique and beautiful these creatures are and yes I will admit they are also not only a blast to catch but amazing table fair. Let's ensure we have AND our children AND grandchildren have these fish around for many years to come so they can also enjoy as much as we have.
No framing necessary but recommended on the 3/4 inch canvas's. Painting comes wall ready with hanging wire installed.
